My 5 sentence starter

Today for writing we got given 5 sentence starter we had to make up a little story stating with these words.

“ Quick get to the line”.

“Stand at the start, ready, set, go.

Out I go onto the track speeding as fast as I can, I am coming first.

Suddenly I trip on my shoelace.  

"Ow" someone stood on my leg.

The evil drinking fountain

         
 I finished my movie that I made with my group it is called the evil drinking fountain.We did it for our literacy Rotation. I had a great time making it.

Camp Reflection

This is my camp reflection I hope you like it please comment!

Reflection for Camp

My goal for camp was to never give up and have fun

I achieved this because I kept on trying and never gave up because I knew I could do it.

Something I was pleased with was that my camp group work together.

                            

I really enjoyed learning about the history of camp kaitawa.

                  

Something I found hard was going up the pipe line.

Something that made me think was will I need to put another layer on or not because it wet and cold outside?

My top 5 favourite things about camp were Caving, Kayaking,Amazing Race, Confidence Course, Master Chef

Favourite Things	Reason Why
1.                  Caving	It was my first time caving and seeing a weta.
2.                 Kayaking	It is my first time been on the water like that.
3.            Amazing  Race	It was really cool because it felt like   the real one.
4.           Confidence Course	I am a bit of a monkey so it awesome climbing on all the obstacles.
5.            Master chef	I thought that the judges were petty funny like Miss America Mr and Italiano.

Caving at camp

Camp day 3

I am in a cave it is wet and muddy so the mud is  really squidgy

in the onepoto caves. In this cave we have to turn our light off so it is really dark. There are raindrop falling from the ceiling and then  going spat on my raincoat. I am at the back with Tracey , Marcus , me, and Mrs H.  We are the last ones so in the caves it is more challenging because the people that were in front had wet slippery shoes that had made rock all slippery But I didn't care I was happy to be caving. I can just see a tiny glimpse of light coming from end of the cave. I feel something squidgy I think it is mud  Then I get woof of smelly mud up my nose. “POO” I say to Tracey this mud smell awful  It smells like a dump I kept walking a turn a corner and  Then I see the end of the cave this time we have to get up to get out  I clamber out into the fresh air  I turn around and grab Tracey's hand  and pull her up then me and Tracey help Mrs H up we come to our last cave we go in it is a bit skinny  David is singing  and Tracey doesn't like it finally we were walking then I see what we have  to do we have to walk around the outside of a rock while holding onto a pole going around the rim  of the rock once I get to the bottom I smell a horrible smell it is like a truck full of  cow poo but worst then I see it it is a huge puddle of water it looks disgusting. Then I saw how I can get over without stepping in it. It was really narrow so I could lean against the wall so I do it I am halfway across and then “HURRY UP THE WHOLE CLASS IS OUT HERE IN THE RAIN, FREEZING HURRY UP !!!” Jason yells I get such a fright I fall right into the smelly mud so I and even more wet and worse I smell so I hurry up to the end I can’t wait till I go back to camp and have a shower because I and FREEZING!!!

Camp day one

Hopping around on rocks surrounding Lake Kiriopukae is so much fun at Camp Kaitawa. We are hopping around on rocks around the lake. There are lots of small ones that we can do ourselves and there are big ones that the parents  help us with. Then we come to a big rock. I am a bit of a daredevil so I climb up it. It wasn't scary at all, it was a little steep. Bridgit starts you off and then Mrs H met you in the middle and helps you get up a bit where you have to stretch your leg up a long way and you slide if you're not careful. When you get up to the top Anthony helps you up the last bit.  There are some holes in the rock and I could grab onto them. I like a challenge so when Anthony asks did I want to lean back? Of course I said yes I love doing that type of stuff. I yell to my mum to get the camera out (she is Bridgit). I am up to the top leaning back as much as I can then looking down at my mum thinking I am crazy. Well I sorta am, I went up that rock 4 times. It was awesome! I jump on to a smaller rock.  It is not as big as the other one but it is still challenging. Miss Patel is on this one. I start climbing and it has some bits to hold onto. I do a quick scan I and choose which rocks to hold onto. I am up on that rock in a second. I just need a path and then I am up. I try the harder path. I run and grab as the same before. I am up there in seconds! Miss Patel helps me at the end bit, then the whistle goes and it is time to go back to camp.

This is my May Reflection. It has lots of slides with all my subjects. We had to show it to our parent at parent interviews. I hope you like it!

How to survive in the bush

If you want to go camping make sure that you follow code if you take a wrong turn it could turn bad in a couple of seconds.

If  you want to go camping with friend or family follow my instruction and you will be safe and have a good holiday.

1.PLAN YOUR TRIP

Make sure you plan your trip look on map s and check on compasses  make sure that you have other places to go if the weather changes it usually does so plan your trip.

2.TELL SOMEONE  

Tell someone who you trust like your friend or family tell them what rutt you are taking, what day your are leaving, what day your are coming back. Once you are home ring the person who you and tell the that you are safe   and at home.

3. BE AWARE OF THE  WEATHER

Be aware of the weather you never know when it might change.You might get stuck in the mountains for over a week that is why you have to pack the right gear.

4.KNOW YOUR LIMITS

When you go camping ask yourself

• Am I up to this level  
• Am I aloud on this land
• Are the people up to this level too
• So know your limits

5. Do I HAVE SUFFICIENT SUPPLIES  

When you go camping ask yourself do I have the right gear.Do I have warm a nuff clothes will I have a nuff food to last the trip and more.Here is a list a gear list.

• Lot of warm jacket
• long sleeved shirts
• long pants
• long socks
• underwear
• big woolly polar fleeces
• thermals
• sun hat
• woolly hat
• waterproof rain coat
• hair bush
• tooth paste
• toothbrush

Dear diary

Today well nothing much happened when I got out of bed and went down stairs I just got ignored so I went to the park and walk and walk. I feeling so depressed maybe this day might win the competition for the worst day ever. It is making me so jealous seeing all of these monkeys chimps apes and more happily playing. It’s not fair bye diary I'll tell you tomorrow if I win

Dear diary  It is Willy here and well it seems that I didn't win the after all but when I got out of bed today It was when I was walking in the park for a while and that is when SMACK!!!I bump into an ape well I am pretty sure he was. He was really big and not to mention it. I was a bit scared just then he said I’m sorry I should've been looking where I was going my name is Hugh Jape funny this it sorta sound like hug ape and my name is mine is Willy. Then we went and sat down on a bench and watch a group of apes that had jog bye Hugh Jape said they're enjoying themselves aren't they but he was just kidding just then  Buster Nose came up to me and stared at me in the eye then sprung up look him in the eyes Hugh jape was taller than him and buster Nose was off. Then they went to zoo and saw humans they didn't look very happy and then  to the library I read a book Hugh jape and they laughed and laughed and we said goodbye see you tomorrow and HAY I WON THE BEST DAY IN MY LIVE COMPETITION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
